Nope. In fact, we love movies. People who think that we really hate what we watch may be missing the satirical humor of our channels.
-
CinemaSins started like almost everything else on YouTube, an idea. Ours was to create a quick video about everything wrong with a movie. It was watched and viewed by many, and we kept making videos!
-
We are not hiring any staff, but if you want to learn more about opportunities you can click here.

First, thanks for caring about our podcast! We loved producing this series for you so much. It was an outlet for the writers to talk about the creation of the material we create each week. But, it became difficult to produce the material each week AND talk about it in show form. We still hope that someday we’ll be able to bring it back.
-
Of course we follow trends! But also, we have a BUNCH of requests that we try to keep up with. There are only so many Tuesdays and Thursdays each year, though, and we try to decide what movies will hit best on which days.
-
The same reason Jeremy does anything. He wanted to.
-
We are not.
-
Because everyone has a different favorite video and if we just kept doing the same joke over and over again we’d be really boring. (see next question)
-
Because they’re funny.
-
You can send your suggestions on Reddit, Discord, IG, comments of videos, or email. Yes, we DO get them and we do care what you want to see! It’s impossible to do them all, but we love your suggestions.

Yesterday probably. Depending on when you read this. :)

If you’re really passionate about it, you can tell us in any of the normal outlets you’d think of. You don’t have to be a dick about it, though, because sometimes we are intentionally being obtuse. But, yeah… we fuck up sometimes, too… and that’s a very normal thing for humans to do.

Puberty.
But really, because they’re different people.

When we hit 1,000 movies sinned we created a page to track some interesting stats.

Well wouldn’t we be a bunch of assholes if we told you that?
Fun fact: Deneé created a Twitter handle (before it became X) and intended to tweet as a persona of the college girlfriend.
While MANY MANY MANY of the sins about this person are absolutely not true, some are… and for that reason we decided to just let sleeping dogs lie. -
You won’t see many “doesn’t contain a lap dance” sins anymore because we don’t like to write them.
Like many things in life, we evolve and our perspective on what is and isn’t funny can change. -
Each channel has its reasons for being put on the shelf but the common denominator is time.
We can only write and produce so much!
-
Yes. You’ll find that we actively sin a lot.
-
Probably not, unless we find a way to create more content in our already tight schedules.
-
Humor is subjective. For example, I find this question hilarious but some people might think you’re a prick for asking it at all.
We hope that if you do not find our videos funny or interesting that you do have something you find joy in out there on the internet. -
Each writer has a unique style, even though we all try to embody the “asshole that can’t have fun watching a movie” character. Our favorite things to sin can vary a lot, and it’s actually easier to answer what we DO NOT like to sin, which also varies.
For almost everyone we will sin whatever, with the exception of Deneé who hates horror movies and refuses to write on them… which is why assigning her “Jennifer’s Body” was so fun. -
That was all Aaron’s fault and we’re still mad at him about it.
-
Every writer has their moments, and while some may stick out in our memories more than most it’s important to point out that writer’s block is a real thing that haunts even the most seasoned professional.
There are some famous moments of someone despising a movie, but loving the sinning process. And, similarly, loving a movie and struggling with the sinning.
These thoughts were explored on Behind the Sins podcast, and while that podcast is no longer actively produced there are some great conversations with the writers talking about their experiences writing.
-
Whatever doesn’t stick to the fingertips and gets stuck to the keyboard.
-
Because it was during the sinning of the Prometheus movie when the sin was written, and thus, born into Sins lore.
-
In short no.
